Autodesk is working with the world’s leading architects, engineers and product designers to drive awareness and increase adoption of sustainable design principles. Autodesk recently launched a web based “Sustainability Center” and is providing software that can be used to predict a design’s performance.
Autodesk’s solutions help customers incorporate sustainable design principles into their products and practices – leading to a cleaner and healthier environment. In 2004, after ten years in China, Autodesk formally established Autodesk (China) Co., Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary offering Chinese customers the software and services needed to create, manage, and share digital assets across boundaries, increasing efficiencies and reducing production costs.
With over 25 years of experience in the computer-aided design, computer graphics, and internet industries, Pittman has held a variety of business development, product development, and strategy positions at Autodesk, Structural Dynamics Research Corporation (SDRC), Alias|Wavefront, and Hellmuth, Obata, and Kassabaum (HOK) Architects. In addition to the work in the corporate world, Pittman has been an Assistant Professor at Cornell University’s Program of Computer Graphics and an instructor in user interface design at Art Center College of Design. Mr. Pittman holds a Bachelor of Architecture and MBA in Marketing and Finance from the University of Cincinnati. He also holds a M.S. in Computer Graphics from Cornell University. He is a licensed architect.
Autodesk first revolutionized the software industry with the AutoCAD® product, which introduced drafting on a PC. The widespread popularity of AutoCAD software forged the company’s lifetime commitment to practical innovation that drives productivity and profitability. AutoCAD also paved the way for Autodesk technology leadership in industries such as building, infrastructure, manufacturing, media and entertainment, and wireless data.
